This policy document details how SCA acquires and uses your personal information on the site https://www.sca.auction. In addition, it gives an outline of the options you have when it comes to your personal information and how to update it. Should you object to anything laid out in this policy, please discontinue the use of the website and related services immediately.
References to the “website” refer to the website at the URL https://SCA.auction/en/privacy-policy, including any other site(s) owned and run by or under any of our other trade names.
References to “Customer” refers to a registered, paying user of the Services.
References to “we”, “our”, “us,” and/or “SCA.auction” refer to SCA, and its parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries.
References to “you,” and/or “User,” refer the User of the Web site and/or the Services.
Intention to be legally bound
We may, at any time, at our sole discretion, add to, modify, delete, or suspend the Policy, either in part or in whole. Modifications of this nature come into effect thirty (30) calendar days after notice was given of such changes on the website and by email to registered Users. By accessing the website and/or acquiring our Service after this period shall be deemed as your acceptance of these modifications.
Collecting of Personal Information
We collect both personal and non-personal data which can be used to identify you. While many opportunities exist where you have a choice over which information you provide, in some instances we may require information from you in order for the providing and use of our Services. Account Set Up & Registration
For us to register you as a Customer, process transactions, provide support or allow you to participate in certain competitions and contests, we may collect personal data such as: your full name; company name (if required); telephone number; email address; billing and shipping addresses; and a copy of your photographic identity card, such as your passport or driver’s license.
In addition, we will collect a username and password, as well as your personal security questions and responses such as the name of your first pet. We may collect and aggregate non-personally identifiable demographic information, if you provide it.

In order to ensure optimal functionality on the site, as well as improve our Website or Services, we use data analytics. This information that we store does not link with the personally identifiable information that you submit.
Using your Personal Information

We may also use it to verify Customers by their age and serve as proof of authorization of transactions; to fill ordered items; to reassign purchase information and documents under the name of a Customer; order confirmation; sending catalogues and product lists; sending marketing materials; managing your account; learn about business needs to offer certain Services; carry out product or services requests, or information on these products and services; send newsletters and marketing communication; make improvements to our marketing strategy and website; collect information for updates and research; fulfil customer service requests; answer comments and queries; alert you to warranty information and product updates; notify you of giveaways and contests and contacting winners; streamline information sharing with third parties.
We may also use this non-personally identifiable information to generate traffic statistics for our Website; to generate User statistics for our Services; to improve customer service; and also to personalize the User experience.
We give you the choice of providing, editing, or removing certain information, as well as how we contact you. To change or correct your account information, email us from the same email used for registering your account. You can use this same email address to email us to request the deletion of your personal information.
You may also have certain additional rights with respect to your information, depending on your location. These include: data correction (including the ability to update your personal data); data access and portability (including the right to obtain a copy of the personal data you provided us with); revoking of consent or objection to processing (including the right, in limited circumstances, to ask SCA to stop processing your personal data by contacting us, with some exceptions); and by contacting us, data deletion, including the right to have us delete your personal information, except information we are required to retain.
You may also control certain types of communications you receive from SCA. We may send you messages about the Services or your activity. Some of these messages, such as transactional messages or legal notices, are service-related messages for Users. You can control which optional messages you receive via the unsubscribe link in our promotional emails.
If wish to no longer use the Website or acquire Services from us or receive service-related messages (except for legally required notices), then you may close your account.
Sharing Your Information with Third Parties
We do not sell, lease or our customer lists to third parties.
SCA may share your data with trusted third party partners, such as the shipping company, driver, and other transportation and delivery services for vehicle and document delivery, in order to process your transactions; to help perform statistical analysis, provide customer support, provided marketing services, or send you email or postal mail.
These third parties are not allowed to use your personal information, except to provide services to SCA. They are also required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
Should a Customer be a Florida resident, we are required to share personally information with the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles. This includes a copy of your identification document, your address, as well as information about the vehicle type, price, and other relevant purchase information.
SCA is also required to share certain personal information with the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS). This includes a copy of your identification document, your address, as well as information about the vehicle type, price, and other relevant purchase information.
We have the right to, without notice, disclose your personal information, if required to do so by law or if you believe that this sharing of information is to help conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on us or the website; defend and protect our rights or property; and/or to act under pressing circumstances for the protection of Website users’, or the public’s personal safety.
Automatically Collected Information
SCA may collect information about your computer software and hardware automatically. This may include information such as your browser type, IP address, access times, domain names and referring website urls. We use this information to operate the website, provide general use-statistics. The information is also used to maintain the quality of the website.
In some instances we may use ‘cookies’ to enable us to personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file placed on your computer’s hard disk by a web browser. These text files cannot be used to run programs or infect your computer with viruses. Cookies can only be read by web browser in the domain that issued the cookie. Each cookie is uniquely assigned to you. One of the main functions of a cookie is to save you time by telling the web browser that you have already visited the specific page in the past. You may decline or accept cookies at any point. Unless it is set otherwise, most web browsers automatically accept cookies. However, If you decline cookies to be used, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the SCA website or services.
Personal Information Security
By using the following methods, we secure your personal information against unauthorized access, use, and/or disclosure.

Please note that non-encrypted communication using email is not secure. We can thus not guarantee data security within email communication. In lieu of this, we recommend using physical mail for confidential information.
Since we operate across the world, we have to transfer your information internationally. More specifically, there is a likelihood that your information will be transferred and processed through servers in Canada. All countries have different laws, so when your information is moved to a foreign country, the rules and laws that protect your personal data might be different to those from your home country. The European Commission has adopted what is known as Model Clauses, standard contractual clauses that safeguards personal information that is transferred outside of Europe. At this time SCA does not participate in Privacy Shield. That said, we may rely on the EU-US Privacy Shield to transfer personal information to certain third-party service providers in the United States, where these third-parties are certified to receive information of this nature under the Privacy Shield Program.
Necessary for the performance of the contract.
We provides a voluntary service, which means you are free to choose whether you want to purchase our Services or not. However, use and purchase of our service is subject to agreement to our Terms of Sale (which is set out between SCA and our Customers).
Since we in countries across the globe, and may use technical infrastructure in the United States to deliver services, we must transfer all your personal information to the United States and other jurisdictions deemed necessary to provide our Services. In short, for us to provide you with the Service, you must be aware that your personal information may be moved around the world.
Notice to Minors
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children younger than thirteen. Should you be younger than thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use the Services and Website. We ask those users who are younger than thirteen years of age not to provide any information that may personally identify you. Should we discover that such a user has provided us with personally-identifiable information, we will delete said information from our records. Parents and/or guardians are responsible for all account activity on their accounts by a minor.
We protect the privacy of children under the age of thirteen and we are dedicated to protect the privacy of minors. While neither our Website, nor Services are targeted at minors, it is not intended for the use of minors. In the event that a minor has shared personal information via our Website and/or Services, the minor in question may request that such information be removed by contacting email@example.com. While we do offer the option of deleting information, the removal of content or information provided may not be comprehensive or complete.
Do Not Track Settings
SCA will keep your information for as long as your account is active and is necessary for the purpose explained in this policy, or as needed in order to provide you with the Services. You may close your account if you don’t wish for SCA to use your information to provide you with the Services. We will also keep your information for as long as we need to in order to comply with our legal obligations (such as tax laws), enforce agreements, settle disputes, or as described elsewhere in the Policy. In addition, we keep log files for internal analysis. These files are usually only kept for a short time period, except where they are used for either safety and security concerns, to help improve functionality of the site, or we are required by law to keep them for longer.

According to California Privacy Rights (as provided by California Civil Code Section 1798.83), a resident of California who has given their personal information to a business with which the resident has entered into a business relationship for personal, household, or family purposes (a “California Customer”) is entitled to ask for information about whether business in question has given personal information to any third parties for the purpose of direct marketing (certain exceptions apply). How to Opt-Out of E-mail Communications
SCA may contact you via email from time-to-time to provide promotional offers, surveys, announcements, alerts and other business-related communication. To aid in improving our Services, we may get notified when you open an email from SCA or click on a link within the email.
Note that both promotional and marketing communications are opt-in. If you would like to stop receiving this type of communication, you can opt-out by following the UNSUBSCRIBE link.
Emails sent as part of our email marketing campaigns may contain tracking facilities. Your activity as subscriber is tracked and stored in a database for analysis and evaluation in the future. In certain circumstances you can object to SCA processing your personal information out of well founded interest to the company, or in the interest of the public. In these cases, we will stop processing your information, unless there is convincing legitimate reasons for us to continue processing the information, or where it is needed for legal reasons. You can also object to our use of your data for direct marketing purposes by using the unsubscribe link within communications of this nature.
You have the right to withdraw consent to SCA’s processing of your information in instances where you have given your consent. An example is to use the unsubscribe link within an email to withdraw your consent. You have the opportunity to choose to withdraw consent to SCA’s processing of your personal information at any time by closing your account followed by an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request the deleting of your personal information. The only exception is the information that we are required to keep. This deletion is permanent, and you cannot reinstate your account.
